Happy September! Looking back, summer seems to have flown by. We’ve had some gorgeous days here at the beach, and we’re hoping to extend them with a little Indian Summer this month!
We are dedicating this September to “Back to School – Back to You!” This is a perfect time, before the days get hectic with the holidays, to invest a little back into yourself, so we are offering a special on the Allergen family of fillers, which includes Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Vollure, Vobella, and Voluma.
What’s the difference between these fillers?
Juvederm Volbella XC is a lip augmentation treatment that is formulated with hyaluronic acid to plump the lips, as well as minimize the appearance of vertical lines around the mouth. It is the first FDA approved lip filler to specifically address vertical lip lines and is perfect for anyone who is concerned about the appearance of aging lips.
Juvederm Vollure XC is designed to smooth the parenthesis lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Vollure goes deeper than creams and serums and adds volume to the area to smooth the lines and folds, which results in a very subtle fullness with longer lasting results.
Juvederm Voluma XC is the thickest of the formulas and is actually a gel that is injected into the cheek area to lift and add volume lost due to aging. It is specifically designed to fill and lift the midface and cheek area, and can also smooth moderate to severe parentheses lines and wrinkles around the mouth.
Juvederm Ultra XC & Ultra Plus XC are specifically for the lower facial area, such as the parentheses (smile) lines, marionette lines, vertical lip lines, and to plump thinning lips. The use difference in these two fillers are based on many personal factors that can be discussed with our medical directors during a consultation, or before treatment.
The XC in all these formulas is the addition of lidocaine, which has an anesthetic effect and improves comfort during treatment.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen & fish oil supplements for 2 weeks prior to injection. This helps decrease bruising at the site
- There is minimal recovery after treatment, and you should see an immediate improvement
- One treatment is all that is usually necessary to smooth lines, wrinkles and add volume to lips
The special part of the deal is that the fillers listed above must be used with 20 units of Botox or 60 units of Dysport (at the same time, or within the same month if you don’t want to do both at the same time), and you will receive $100 off your choice of the filler (listed above) and $50 off Botox or Dysport. If you are signed up with Brilliant Distinctions or Aspire, you can utilize any points you have for even more savings.
Botox & Dysport are both neurotoxins, a type of botulinum used to relax facial muscles.
Botox is a simple treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet, and forehead. Results can be seen within 5 days and typically last 3-4 months.
Dysport is similar to Botox, but Dysport has a smaller molecular size, so the measurement of units is different. Every 60 units of Dysport is equal to 20 units of Botox. Dysport can also ‘spread’ more than Botox, so larger areas, such as the forehead, may need fewer injections.
This is the perfect time for a little facial tune-up – give us a call for additional details on these specials. We are always happy to answer any questions, and of course, schedule a consultation to see which treatment is right for you!
