We have a couple of great specials for the month of June at Abbracci on the Galderma family of injectables, which includes Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft and Dysport.
If you’re wondering what the difference between these treatments are – we’ve broken them down here:
Dysport is an injectable that produces a natural look to help smooth the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines – the lines in the area between your eyebrows. Dysport is a popular treatment for this area because it doesn’t have the effect of making your face feel ‘frozen’. It temporarily treats the facial muscles between the eyebrows, and allows the muscles in the untreated areas of your face to move unrestricted. You can, and will, be able to show normal facial expressions while treating frown lines.
Restylane is designed to correct facial wrinkles and folds in the nasolabial folds (the area from your nose to the corner of your mouth), marionette lines (the area from the corner of your mouth down to your chin), vertical lip lines, the corner area of your mouth, and add fullness to your lips. Restylane contains hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that is naturally found in our bodies and helps our bodies hold moisture, thereby creating volume. As we age, this volume decreases, and that’s when we start to notice lines and loss of volume.
Restylane Silk is one of the newest releases from the Restylane family, and the formula is specifically intended to enhance the volume of the lips, and minimize vertical lip lines to create a better effect. It is a transparent liquid gel that is injected directly into the lips and can increase fullness, smooth wrinkles and lip lines and generally plump up thin lips. The formula is thinner than traditional Restylane, and requires less pressure to inject.
Restylane Lyft is a filler that treats both cheeks and the nasolabial fold area. Restylane Lyft (formerly known as Perlane L) restores lost volume and fullness to the mid and lower face by providing a ‘lift’ to the cheek area, and can add volume to smooth out nasolabial folds (smile lines). The difference is the gel particles in Restylane Lyft are larger than those in Restylane, and it is injected deeper into the skin. Because of this, Restylane Lyft is recommended for deeper, more severe lines & folds in the nasolabial area.
As an added bonus, Restylane Lyft contains 0.35 lidocaine, to help reduce discomfort.
