Happy April! Spring is here, and we’re all counting down the days until summer! Longer days and warmer temperatures are on the horizon, and we are all about getting ourselves back in shape for beach days and vacays!
This month we are offering a filler special that we haven’t offered in a long time. Read on for more details on Radiesse, and a bonus offer of Xeomin.
Radiesse is in the family of dermal fillers that temporarily adds volume to help smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and deep folds (such as nasolabial folds), as well as restoring a more youthful appearance to the hands by reducing the appearance of tendons and veins.
How is Radiesse different from other dermal fillers?
Radiesse is comprised of tiny calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel and has been shown to stimulate the natural production of collagen. These microspheres are similar to minerals that are naturally found in our bodies, and over time the body absorbs the microspheres and gel, leaving behind only the natural collagen produced.
How does Radiesse work?
Radiesse plumps the skin, giving it a smoother appearance. It also works to stimulate the body to produce collagen naturally, and when the body absorbs the product (over time), the naturally produced collagen is left behind for long-lasting results.
Where can Radiesse be used?
- Smile lines – technically called the nasolabial folds, this is the area that runs from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth
- Marionette lines – the area that runs downward from the corners of the mouth to the chin
- Corners of the mouth – this is called the oral commissure, and if this area begins to sag or droop, it will make you look like you are frowning
- Pre-jowl fold – this is the area on either side of the chin, the lower cheek area
- Back of the hands – Radiesse is the only FDA approved filler to be deemed safe & effective for use on the back of the hands.
How long does it take to see results?
As soon as it is injected, Radiesse restores volume to smooth out wrinkles, folds, and thinning skin that result from natural aging. These results can last for up to a year or more.
Are there any side effects?
As with most injectables, some bruising can occur at the injection sites, as well as redness, swelling and tenderness. These side effects are usually short-lived and mild.
Are there any precautions to take before & after treatment?
We recommend that you stop taking any aspirin, ibuprofen & fish oil supplements for 2 weeks prior to injection to help decrease bruising.
Immediately following the treatment, and for 24 hours after, avoid movement or massage of the treated area, stay out of the sun and do not apply makeup.
This month, we are offering 1.5 ml of Radiesse for $695 ($100 off). Additionally, and only this month, we are including in this offer 20 units of Xeomin ($200 value).
Xeomin is a neuro-toxin (similar to Botox & Dysport) that is used to temporarily improve moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. The active ingredient in Xeomin is botulinum toxin type A, a protein that is purified from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It acts on the nerve endings in the muscles to prevent muscle fibers from contracting (this is what occurs when you squint or frown). As with Botox & Dysport, you may see smoothing within 3 days and effects last up to 3 months.
